But when it comes to health and healthful living there is no room for play. The web is full of information about the possible dangers of chemical sweeteners like aspartame and sucralose. There hasn't been a lot of hard evidence complied yet and that's the major criticism by the skeptics. They assert that these dangerous chemical compounds have been rubber stamped by the FDA and ramrodded into our food supply without the proper longitudinal studies required to determine the lasting effects. To be sure, it's terrifying to read what's in Splenda and scarier still think that millions of people consume it with little knowledge of it's carcinogenic ingredients... talk about a list!.
